Taiwan Bio Industry Organization

Taiwan Bio Industry Organization (commonly known as Taiwan BIO) is a national, non‑profit industry association and event organizer dedicated to advancing Taiwan’s biotechnology and life sciences ecosystem. From its base inside Taipei’s Academia Road science cluster, the organization serves as a bridge between government, research institutes, hospitals, and industry, helping Taiwanese innovators connect with global partners and capital.

It plays a dual role as both policy advocate for the biotech sector and professional organizer of international conferences, partnering forums, and trade exhibitions. Taiwan BIO is best known as the co‑organizer and local host of BIO Asia–Taiwan, a large‑scale annual convention and exhibition held at TaiNEX in Taipei that combines a multi‑track conference, company presentations, investment summit, partnering system, and a comprehensive bioindustry expo.

The event attracts biopharma, medtech, diagnostics, CDMOs, research organizations, and investors from across Asia, Europe, and North America, and has become a key platform for showcasing Taiwan’s strengths in biopharmaceuticals, precision medicine, cell and gene therapy, medical devices, and digital health. Beyond its flagship BIO Asia–Taiwan convention, Taiwan BIO supports and co‑organizes specialized events in healthcare technology and medical aesthetics, such as exhibitions covering healthcare delivery and medical cosmetology, expanding its reach into hospital services and wellness‑oriented medical tourism.
